Athlete Spotlight - Adam, Hunter & Logan
Adam Mogawer
Meet Adam, Hunter & Logan. These three teammates began training with us in the fall, in preparation for the upcoming basketball season.
The hard work is paying off as Dartmouth is off to a 6-1 start, with the only loss coming to Taunton, the #9 ranked school in Division 1.
All three of the guys are playing a significant role in the team and contributing to its success. Hunter is averaging 22 points and 11 rebounds per game. Adam is averaging 14 points, 5 boards and 3 assists per game and Logan is contributing 7 points and 3 assists each contest.

The goal prior to the season was to establish an athletic base that would allow the athletes to load and transfer different muscle groups while in space. With basketball being so driven on changing speed into power, it was a staple of our program to teach the athletes how to properly decelerate before either changing direction or getting ready to jump.
It’s important to understand that contact injuries may happen, it’s simply a part of basketball, but we can control non-contact injuries as it relates to efficient movement patterns.
Most injuries happen when an athlete is moving at high intensities and doesn’t decelerate before their next athletic move. Our top priority was ensuring that these guys understood movement demands as it relates to the court.
When asked about the preseason training and how it has impacted him, here’s what Hunter had to say
“I am moving way faster than last year and jumping way higher, it’s helped my game so much. I am out running all the other centers and beating them down the court getting me easy points.”

All the boys saw increases in their speed and vertical jump over the course of our two-month preseason program and it’s great to see them translate it to success on the court.
